It has been an honor and a privilege to be in this field. As of 2016 I will have practiced for 20 years. I approach treatment in a comprehensive manner, and strive to work with professionals in the community to help my clients achieve their goals. I work with school-aged children, adolescents, and adults providing counseling. My experience includes, but is not limited to the following: Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, relaxation training/stress reduction, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, divorce, interpersonal struggles and illness and injury adjustment issues. For those individuals that are creative, self-expression through art can be incorporated into the therapeutic process. I have conducted an adolescent girls’ group since September of 2013. This group is comprised of girls ages 14 to 18, and focuses on dealing with anxiety, interpersonal issues, self-esteem and skill building. This group includes the use of art and creativity. I offer evening times and standing appointments, when available, for consistency.
“People often say that this or that person has not found himself. But the self is not something one finds. It is something that one creates.” –Thomas Szasz, Psychiatry Professor and Author
